How the electronic underground dog fence system works is fairly simple.

A transmitter gets mounted inside the residence, generally the garage. A wire comes out of the fencing transmitter and runs around the area you would like the dog to stay away from and then eventually gets back to the electronic fence transmitter, thus making a loop. 

The electronic fence transmitter then sends a signal out through the wire on a certain frequency.

The dog then wears a special collar that only picks up that frequency and turns on when the dog gets too close to the wire. At that point the electronic fence collar turns on, first giving a warning beep, and then if the dog continues closer gets a mild but effective correction.

The collar strength is adjustable, with a tone only setting and increasing up from there. That means little dogs are able to get smaller corrections vs larger dogs.

• For our system Prices start at $700 up to 500 feet of heavy 18-gauge wire, covers about 1/3 acre generally enough to do a city yard.

• $130 for each additional fence collars, you can add as many as you need to the underground fence system.
• 30 cents per foot extra after the first 500 feet of wire installed. 
• Price to install your own system is $200 plus 30 cents per foot

 Remember we charge by the size of your yard not the size of your house. 

After the first 500 feet of wire, it's 30 cents per foot extra.

We use the PetSafe Yardmax system.

 The PetSafe brand of fence, is the best underground dog fence on the market.

The transmitter has a wire break alarm, so you will know if there is a wire break or problem, it also comes with a lightning protection device, which is critical because stray voltage from lightning even far away could damage the fence system without it. 

Our underground dog fence collars are chargeable and easily programable. What that means is no more expensive batteries that sometimes need to be purchased only from the dog fence dealer, and no more waiting for them to come back and reprogram the collars.  

The collar strength is adjustable, that means you can start the training on very low static correction level, actually you start with no shock and slowly increase until the pet knows to stay back.

When we are done, we will have flags installed so the dog knows the boundary area.

You the customer are in charge of doing the actual training, we give you a manual and a brief walk through on how to do it. 

It's very easy to do and it is literally saving you hundreds if not thousands of dollars by doing it yourself.

Afterall, it's your pet, you understand and know the pet better than any stranger.

 Generally, it only takes a couple weeks, and they are very well trained to the system 

We have several ways that we cross hard surface driveways with the wire for the electronic dog fence.

• Concrete - We use any of the existing expansion joints already in the concrete, we clean the joint out with a saw and then lay the wire down in the joint, we then fill the joint with a hardening sand that locks the wire in place.
• Blacktop- We have 2 choices for blacktop. If you have a culvert running underneath the driveway, we can use that and run the wire through the culvert to reach the other side. 
• Or the other way is we will need to sawcut a 1/4" wide joint across the blacktop, we then fill the joint with hardening sand, if you want the crack sealed any further you will be in charge of that.

Our machine cuts a 1/2" wide trench and buries the wire at the same time. 

We bury the wire 2"-4" deep

There is not a mess and sometimes you can hardly see the path we went.

 We will need to have any lawn sprinkler heads marked if we are going to be running the fence wire anywhere close to them. 

Please note, if you aerate the lawn, you will need to make certain to keep the machine off the dog fence wire as it might go deep enough to damage or break the line.

If you have a break in your underground dog fence wire, it's no big deal, we have the tools to locate the break and fix the wire properly, so if you know exactly where the break in the dog fence wire is located, or you have no idea where the wire is broken, our wire break locator can track it down. 

Please note, aerating can cut the wire in so many places that it may require some wire replacement.

Even if we did not originally install the dog fence system,we can come out and repair your wire.

Pricing is at $40 per hour with a one-hour minimum charge and may include drive time depending on the location.

We are located in West Bend Wisconsin, and we will travel up to 40 miles from West Bend for the original fencing price.

We may travel over that distance, please contact us with your exact location and we can tell you what the addition drive cost might be.
